Missouri wrestling falls to No. 10 Illinois in season opener

The No. 11 Missouri Tigers wrestling team lost to the No. 10 Illinois Fighting Illini on Friday night, falling behind 12-3 at one point before losing 18-13.

True freshman Alan Walters got the Tigers started off well with a 8-3 win over Logan Arlis in the 125-pound weight class.

After the opening win,Paris Saint Germain shirt, the Tigers lost the 133,Wales football shirt, 141,Celtic shirt, 149 and 157-pound weight classes to fall behind 12-3 in the match.

Junior Dorian Henderson got the only bonus points of the match for Missouri,Inter Milan shirt, taking down Tony Dallago four times to take a 13-5 decision.

Missouri will be back in action Saturday when they compete in the Central Missouri University Open in Warrensburg. Matches start at 9 a.m.
